TGIF

Thank God it's Friday! I know I don't work a full-time job out of the home (I'm so glad I don't, I did once and it was zero fun), but I always feel relieved when Friday comes around. Knowing that the week has come to an end offering the promise of a new fresh week right around the corner, is awesome. Having Derek home for two whole days to help with the baby is even awesomer. Toby's parents- aka Derek and I- have been dealing with the consequences of 4 month old sleep regression for the past three weeks. The little dude has been waking up three or four times a night, and because he's still acclimating to normal human stuff he doesn't know how to put himself back to sleep. Which means his only option is to make sure that his parents know that he's awake and is generally displeased with the whole situation. Like I said, it's great. Today was probably the worst of it. I had a migrane all night and being awokened by a mewling infant multiple times in the midst of my own sleep cycle did not help. I was a total zombie this morning.  I didn't do anything except rewatch episodes of "How I Met Your Mother" and peruse pinterest for dinner ideas, my messy house staring at me sadly. Finally around 1pm I realized Toby would probably be waking up from his nap soon ('cause babies are nocturnal) so I pulled myself off the couch and tidied up a bit. Toby woke up all happy and smiley and I felt a little more like a real person. My wonderful husband sent me lovely and encouraging messages via text and facebook, making realize that if he found me remotely sweet when I look like I got in a fight with a deranged poodle he's a keeper. God bless him. Anywhoo this post must be short so I can make my man a nice Friday night meal and prepare to welcome the Shabbaat. Hope your weekend is filled with relaxation and happiness. That sounded so corny, but whatever. Have a good weekend- Shabbaat Shalom!
