We took a trip up to Pinetop this past weekend to spend time with Derek's family. His parents rented a cabin that was big enough for all of their kids and their kids spouses' and all the grandkids. The weather was a super welcome change from the crazy heat we've had here in Tucson- 70's and 80's up in Pinetop! So nice. We had a great time just lounging around, the guys got to play golf, and the grandkids got to play and collect lots of pinecones.
Toby did really great on the drive. On the way up Toby and I both got a little carsick when we went through the Salt River Canyon area. But overall he was a real trooper.
Getting our land legs back.
Le Cabin.
Lots of chill out time.
And lots of pool playing.
Pappa and some of the grandkiddos.
The grandkids. Toby, Elias, Kylie, and Kinsley.
We took a little walk with Kylie and Toby. So much GREEN.
I know he's my child, but to me this looks like something out of a magazine. He's so photogenic, it's ridiculous.
Nature.
My dudes.
Group shot.
The drive back was uneventful, just long. It's about a three hour drive, which isn't that bad, but I'm sure you all can relate- the drive back is always the longest.
We got home and Watson was running around the house like a mania6c7777y (that was the cat, he must of heard me typing about him)... as I was saying, Watson was running around like a maniac because he probably has abandonment issues and he thought we'd left him forever. Today he's been a total punk; lots of biting and crazy eyes. I might need to venture out to procure some cat toys to make amends for our leaving him because how dare we? Crazy animal.
Hope you all had a great weekend, I'm off to tackle the post-trip laundry. Oh joy.
Nice pictures! Looks so fun!
