Came home, ALL OF US took a nap (woop woop) then we got up and putzed around the house. Toby was wanting to go outside so we took a trip down to the park.
I think they kinda walk the same...
Slides make me feel like my spine is shooting out of the top of my head, so Derek had the fun task of taking Toby down the slide as many times as Toby deemed an appropriate amount.
One of Toby's favorite things to do at the park is run through the open field.
Just for perspective...
I found a little unripe acorn. Clearly I'm easily amused.
A 1 year old can cover more ground then I can. So sad.
Extra cheesey smile.
Being the bugaphobe that I am I didn't think it was a good idea to play with a dead bug carcass.
"Say bye bye park!" It helps him have closure.
The rest of the day was chill. I got to go to a bridal shower for a lovely lady from our church, Derek and Toby had some bonding time. Derek went out later and bought a bottle of wine because we both were kind of craving a little, but we hadn't had wine in a looong time so we both fell asleep on the couch watching SNL after only one small glass each. Sheesh, light weights.
Sunday was great: went to church, went to Chiptole for lunch, came home and did some yard work (I butchered our bushes so if you come over and wonder what amatuer did that, it was me), then hung out for the rest of the evening. It was a nice family weekend, just what the doc ordered.
How was your weekend? Do anything interesting?
