True dat.
Last week I wasn't able to blog as much as I was wanting because my computer seems to have come down with a case of the malfuntions and as of last night won't turn on. Super. So today I have to "take it in" and cross my fingers that it won't cost a small fortune. Derek has graciously granted me access to the man-cave and allowed me to use his computer, hence how I am able to bother you lovely folks with my not-so-big problems. But wait, my war with the 21st century is not over...
I was trying to upload a file to Office Max's website so I could place an order for Toby's birthday party invitations and the whole experience left me feeling like an inept monkey. Guess I'll have to go to the store and have a Bridesmaids moment. Awesome.
Then this morning my phone decided to join the technological revolution. It made the noise it usually makes when I get a text, so I went to check it and lo and behold there as a voicemail. The phone never rang. Okay, fine, sometimes that happens. I tried to make a phone call and a message popped up saying it could only place emergency calls. Seriously? Guess I'll just add the Verizon store to my list of today's destinations.
Normally it would be no biggie to make all these stops but Toby has been in an especially unsavory mood thus far today and I would much rather stay home and watch Call the Midwife in between loads of laundry and pulling weeds (I can feel the notice from the HOA being composed), but if I kind of need my forms of communication to function properly. *Sigh* is this what they mean by a "a mother's work is never done"?
Hope you all had a fab weekend. Happy Earth Day!
