Rambles

Not much to report on the Hippy Momma homefront. Life as usual: chasing Toby, chasing Watson, ignoring dishes, spending waaaay too much time on Pinterest, blah blah blah.

This past weekend was a whirlwind of catching up with friends. Some dear friends of my family were in town from Nevada so we did our best to get in as much time with them as we could. It was so wonderful to see them and just have good old fashioned hang out times. Toby did really well considering that he didn't have his usual bedtime routine at his house for three nights in a row, although I've totally been paying for it these past couple of nights. There's a great need for lots and lots and lots of this today...

Sunday afternoon while Toby was napping I got to Skype with my lovely friend Kathryn. We chatted about all things home decor and blogging, it was fabulous.

Sunday night Derek and I got to go out on a date *gasp* and it was sooooo nice to have some quality time with that guy. We went to P.F. Chang's and ate way too much delicious food.

I guess Sunday was a big day because that was the day that I also started doing the 7 Minute Workout and oh my gosh you guys it's cuh-ray-zee intense. My birthday is in October and as part of my whole revamping life thing I'm trying to get into better shape. I no longer can use the excuse of carrying around little holiday weight, so it's time to kick my butt in gear. I told Derek that I can't start off 25 being flabby. Derek was a sweetie and tried the seven minutes of madness with me and based on how he felt afterwards I don't think he'll be making it a regular thing. Bless his heart.

Day two of doing the workout was harder than the first, and today was a little easier although now I am very aware of my thigh muscles and rib cage (should I be concerned?) so I have little motivation to do anything else. These are being ignored right about now...

So many dishes. Hurumph...

Thankfully Toby is not engaging in his latest phase at the moment...

... also known as Fit Throwing when he can't get his way. It's great.

He was upset that we brought him in from playing in the rain due to some close in proximity lighting.  I know, shame on us.

Thankfully right now there is lots of this pleasentness happening

Please forgive me while I take a moment to let out some sappy "aawwww"s.

So anywhoo that's what's up today. Happy Tuesday everyone!
