But anyways enough wallowing, I'm back. We thouroughly enjoyed the short-lived fall weather (one week doesn't count. Get your stuff together desert climate) and ate lots of all-things pumpkin. Probably a little too much. Thanksgiving was fun, but a little stressful. Every other year we have to try to visit with both of our families on actual Thanksgiving and this was the year. Thankfully we had the extended weekend to lounge around and let our bodies digest the unholy amount of delicious food we shoved down our gullets. Let that visual sink in for a bit... got it? You're welcome.
Wintertime has begun, and while us desert rats are violently shushed by the rest of the country whenever we so much as layer a long sleeve shirt under a short sleeve shirt, I still think it's chilly out there. But you don't care about the weather so I'll spare you that slow painful death.
I've been trying to get the house all decked and festive but chasing a very active toddler and fending off a crazy cat result in a lot of unfinished projects around the house. Poor Derek has had to pull work clothes out of the dryer more often than I care to share. But I did manage to carve out a little time to draw this.
It was my attempt at reproducing one of those nifty chalk artworks on Pinterest. Not great, but ya know everyone has to start somewhere.
Toby has a cold and he literally has snot falling out of his face as he pulls the cats tail. I should probably do something about that.
Let's see, what else have we been up to. Oh yeah this.
Family expansion.
AAaaand Toby just spilled his sippy cup down the back of my pants. Awesome.
Happy Thursday everyone!
